Meet Michelle Clark

Welcome to It Is What It Is. I launched this blog in August 2010 as a way for me to share what inspires me. It allows me to express myself in new ways and connect to others. I am learning to negotiate my way through the circumstances of my life by asking myself why I think, say, feel and do the things I do. This dialog has brought me moments of pure clarity and understanding in myself and has allowed a wonderful, dynamic shift to take place as I go about my daily life. Am I an expert? No way! I am a flawed person, and I am doing my best to be my best from one moment to the next.

Who am I? I am a writer, a motivational speaker, a traveler, a gardener, a runner, a swimmer, a daughter, a friend, a sister and a wife. I love to cook and I love to eat good food. I love to be outside, but I am a homebody; I love the sounds of silence, but I love to turn up the music and dance. I am a highly organized type, but I am learning what is more important. I strive for peace as I learn to unclutter my life. I am downsizing the me I was for a better more condensed, slower-paced version.

My intention with the writing I do, is to help others begin to pay attention to their own needs, to find the best within themselves and to be the best they can be. Many of us may have moments of pure clarity. The catch here is moving forward and doing something about it. I know what moves and inspires me and if it causes one person to smile and think, Hey, I can do that, then my efforts are worth it.

Others may see themselves in my story, my journey, but I intend to move forward and keep moving forward. What about you? Are you up to the challenge? Allow me to guide you into forward thinking.

We can all learn from the circumstances of our lives if we take a moment to observe, as if through a viewfinder, and discover what is ultimately most important to us all.
